The show is put on with circus and cabaret entertainers to bring to you a unique assortment of amazing acts all jam packed into just about 90 minutes of enthralling entertainment.

Jo Carvalho

Originally hailing from France the Ex gymnast and theatre artist Jo arrived in New Zealand 6 years ago, and instantly fell in love with the surroundings and people of Northland. Jo based himself in Dargaville, spending his days working for Circus Kumarani Aotearoa’s Community circus, teaching the arts of circus from Ground based skills to Aerial Artistry, to all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced.

In 2011 while traveling to America with his brother, Jo learned about the art of Cyr Wheel and found a new passion, adding this to his long list of skills. Upon returning to New Zealand Jo and his brother formed the company Spinnovation NZ and continue to share their love of circus with others.

In 2015 Jo went to Melbourne teaching and studying more about circus art and Cyr wheel at the Spin Academy and NICA.

Over the years Jo has performed at many corporate events, circus shows, music festivals and traveled all over NZ over on a regular basis teaching and performing many different skills (hand to hand, juggling, tumbling, fire...etc. ) as well as performing and teaching Cyr Wheel.
Jo is a man of many talents that you won’t want to miss.

Becki the Clown

Becki has been on the stage from a young age performing music, roller-skating, gymnastics and more, until she found circus arts. Beginning aerial silks in Germany at age 15, Becki dedicated herself to professional circus training in Christchurch, in 2010. Performing aerial arts,partner acrobatics and flashing circus hoops, Becki loves to entertain.

Becki has always dreamed of travelling with a show and sharing her love for circus arts with audiences all around New Zealand. For this she has learnt the art of balancing atop a stack of chairs. But there’s one problem, Becki must overcome her fear of heights to perform this death defying stunt for you. And sometimes her cheeky attitude gets her in trouble with the boss.

Come to the Kids Day Out 2017 to see Becki dazzle you with fast flying hoops, perform gravity defying acrobatics and feats of balance. Becki will attempt to conquer her fears and balance atop a stack of chairs to fulfil her dreams of traveling with a circus show.
